Outbound Caller ID Formatting

Hi,

We call multiple locations across AU, we want to be able to specify a code that the team will dial before any mobile number and route through different trunks so we can show a local number.

Example:
The caller enters 161(mobile number) and goes through a Sydney trunk and the callee receives a Sydney caller ID.

I then want to set up other codes for other areas,
161 Sydney
162 Brisbane example and so on.

I have tried this in the CID rules on the SIP trunk:
Source Pattern
(161)(.*)
Replace Pattern
0*

Use outbound rules - https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/sip-trunks/

Check for prefix 161, strip 3 digits and route down the correct sip trunk.

We have a fair few sites in Australia, and can give some examples of the outbound rules we have configured for our systems.

We use Twilio trunks normally and they come in worldwide prefix as standard (so for Australia numbers would come in +61 format) so within Australia, mobile phone numbers with 04 or 05 we strip 1 digit and prepend with the +61 for the provider.

So in your case a rule for each as per the above guides on the outbound rules (no reformatting required).

Note: Just be aware that the above example may not be accurate for your provider as they maybe local to Aus, Twilio are whats are known as a worldwide provider.
