Having issues with outbound calling. I try dialing out and it will work one minute, and fail the next, then it may decide to ring for 20-30 seconds before connecting. When it fails, 3CX softphone appears to be ringing the whole time but my cell never rings, and then when 3CX finally hangs up my cell will show a missed call even though it never rang. Sometimes 3CX will hang for 20-30 seconds, and then the call will connect. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out why this is happening all afternoon. I contacted the SIP provider (NobelBiz) and they said the trunk settings look good so I am kinda stuck. Rebooted server, recreated SIP trunks, & outbound rules, etc. Could really use a more experienced 3CX'r to take a look at it.... my brain is fried!

Running 3cx version 18, Update 9 (Build 20)

Thanks in advance!

If you rerun the firewall test, does it pass?

are you able to make a call via the mobile app?

Try testing with another landline number (calling that instead of your cell phone) to rule out your cell phone or cell phone carrier being the issue.

All firewall tests pass. I will try the mobile app today when I get to the customer site. I was logged in remotely and calling from the browser.

Do landlines still exist? lol.... I would if I could! I tried several different cell #'s with the same result on multiple carriers. This morning calls seem to be working with absolutely no changes so I'm just waiting for them to start failing again. Unfortunately since NobelBiz is not a supported 3CX vendor we cannot get help from 3CX directly.

Eh, landlines more to say try a another phone path, which you did.

Honestly, from this thread and your reddit post it sounds like a SIP trunk issue with NobleBiz. Like they are not sending the call out when they get it from you.

Typically, a ringing tone indicates that the call setup process between 3CX and the carrier is operational. However, in this scenario, it seems that while the call is being transmitted to the carrier, they are unable to successfully terminate it to the PSTN. To address this issue, consider sending a call log to the carrier, including the date, time of the call, and the dialed destination number. This will enable them to trace the call and offer valid explanations for the unsuccessful call termination.

I did have a similar issue and the call trace assisted in identifying the issue.
