Can someone tell me how to get the "Phone UI" button under the phones menu to work?

I've tried it on a yealink T46G with old firmware, and new firmware.
I've tried it on a snom.
I've tried it on a polycom.

I've tried it with a SBC and SBC adopted phones, and without.

It's always grayed out.

The PBX is "cloud hosted" in a data center not local to the phones, hence why I used a SBC. I would imagine the use of an SBC would allow to make this button work.

"Phone UI" is just opening a tab with the IP address of the phone you select with the login already done

The button works when the phones are Local (and hence appear with individual private IPs).

Cloud hosted PBX cannot use that button because phones are not local.

Could phones be reachable directly from MC with some other future 3CX feature behind SBC?

They could definitely use the SBC as a proxy to get a web link going to the phone's directly, if they wanted to program that in.

Solarwinds does this with their n-able platform as long as you have a probe (sbc) installed on a server on the same subnet.

This is not in the plans, the phone UI button is just there to make life easier when your phones are provisioned locally. If you want it to apply to remote phones then you have to use a VPN to make them appear local on the same subnet.

pity :(, it could have been a help sometimes
