Hi All,

I have a customer that has existing VVX300 phones and wants to try and use them with 3cx. I realize they are not supported and have read the provisioning link but was hoping one of you brave souls who have tried it could advise me.

1. Do the VVX300 work with cloud 3cx and local SBC?
2. Does the shared park and speed dial still not work on BLF?
3. Is there a better (more functional) firmware version than the one listed 5.6?

thx

I have a system that I manage running 3CX on a google cloud Debian VM and local SBC running on W10 VM. There are 30 extensions using the Polycom VVX300 on Firmware 5.7.0.13837. I can't speak of the shared park or speed dial on BLF. This system has been in place for 3 months or so with little issue, with the exception of two extensions that randomly unregistered last night and the reason I'm here today...

That's great to hear thx

They will work on SBC but you will need to configure/provision them to proxy address of the SBC device.

Please note: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/ "limited feature set and support" so dont expect sparkling service from these. In fact with SBC in place the featureset and support maybe further degraded.

Actually these phones can be setup via SBC (the option is there in the PBX) but you will need to set them up manually as they do not support PnP. The limitations listed in the guide apply for all provisioning methods.
