I’m hoping someone can help on this.

I’ve got a Polycom VVX411 phone which isn’t connecting to the PBX.

The phone is connected to the local network and receiving a IP address via DHCP and I’ve updated the firmware so it’s connecting to the internet correctly download updated firmware.

I’ve followed the steps on https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/polycom-vvx/ also set the phone to SIP mode.

In the 3CX MC the phone doesn’t show up in the phones section as the above link suggests it would.

I’m pretty sure the solution will be something so obvious but I cannot see where I’m going wrong.

Anybody got any suggestions about where could be going wrong?

Have you set the Pnp Provisioning settings as per info https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/polycom-vvx/

Are you using any vlans ?

If you manually entered the phone details in 3CX management , enter the provisioning link directly into the phone does the extension register - step 6 to 9 on Remote Phones (https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/polycom-vvx/)
I’ve followed the steps for PnP provisioning and that’s all configured correctly.
Setting everything up manually is the next thing I’m looking at trying as plug n play hasn’t worked so far.

both the phone and the 3CX server are connected to the same router with no VLAN involved.

And does your 3CX system pass the firewall test/checker? Is this your first phone or do you have other phones that are working?
This is the first “Hard” phone I’ve connected, the other two extensions are softphones using the iPhone app.
I’ve not run the firewall check as all devices are on the same LAN so didn’t expect to be any issues with a firewall blocking the ports

As a follow up, Strangely at one stage the phone appeared in the 3CX MC and I allocated it to an extension but the phone still didn’t get provisioned. I rebooted the phone and since then am back to the phone not showing in the MC.

I’ve tried manually provisioning with the provisioning link and that didn’t seem to help either.

So I think I’m doing something wrong that’s probably so obvious that I just can’t see it

Check the 3cx blacklist, to see if any ip’s have been blacklisted

i never thought of that. It has been blacklisted due to too many failed authentication attempts. So that’s one issue that caused problems I’m trying again now
