Hi Guys

We got a customer who bought 50 Snom 3-Serie. Provisioning is working fine, but he is complaining that he need to login (username and password) every single deskphone.

is there anyway to provision deskphones without having to login? We already define the user in the 3cx-console...

Regards, Alain

Hi Alain,

What exact model number are you referring to? There are at least 9 models in the 3-series that work with 3CX.

As for the password, are these STUN-provisioned phones and they ask for EXT+PIN the first time?

Hi John

Thanks for your reply. We got a SBC running on the client's site.
We just would like to disable the password request after provisioning a deskphone, cause now we need to login with EXT + Pin.

If you setup DHCP Option 66 that you shouldn't be prompted for credentials

We are not talking about HotDesking by any chance are we? I think you probably set it up in STUN mode, and this is why it asks for credentials but it will only ask for them during the first provisioning.

When using SBC provisioning, you would simply do it from the management console and it would not ask for EXT+PIN.

Option 66 as pointed out above is also a route you could follow, but that requires a DHCP server that allows you to set it up as such.

@alainarnold If they are used Snom Phones, they probably contain RPS provisioning from the previous owner. You will have to contact Snom directly to help you in this case.
