Rasberry Pi Using the preconfigured CanaKit for 99 dollars

Hi Guys

Has anyone purchased the canakit for 99 dollars ? Mu understanding is that it was supposed to be preloaded . I powered it up and got an IP address but I am unable to connect via my browser using port 5015 . Scarce documentaiton on this so I don't know if it was preloaded to just log in via the browser . I don't have a usb keyboard in my lab so I just ordered one to get into the unit . I will be here on Wednesday .

I cannot find any documentation except for a full install from scratch

Unit comes with os installed you need give the unit a fixed ip address and install 3cx or sbc

I just found a great doc on that ! Thx !!! Have an HDMI mini coming in today as well so hopefully power up this unit and kick around and see its capabilities also !

Thx Matt as I also ordered via Amazon and waiting for a card reader as I don't have one but I DO have the slots etc. on my pc . Another oh oh found on setting this up . No biggie just a learning curve ..

Just an FYI form last nite booting up the Rasberry pi :

Just got mine :

Tuesday it arrived

Ordered an HDMI Mini cable for the unit as it arrived Yesterday and booted it up :

1. Plugged in keyboard mouse and monitor
2. Followed the prompts and it booted up ( relatively easy ) along with the updates along with setting up wifi connectivity to my Corp Network ( I'll find out how easy it is to change WIFI/Ethernet settings when I set up at a clients network later )
3. Once it was up I followed the doc and enabled SSH connectivity
4. Used the provided 3cx software loading linked path via SSH in the 3CX Rasberry pi set up document ( Set up doc from 3CX instructing how to load software and boot up stated to use only step 4 of the set up document ) and went out and downloaded 3CX software . Link was spot on and it loaded the 3CX software !
5. All set to run set up 3CX software and deploy to a Customer

Note : I did not run the complete 3CX software set up due to being in a lab environment and I will try to sell to a local Customer . Once installed I will finish the installation set up etc.

So far it looks like it was pretty smooth and easy to set up . I just wish when the kit was sold that they mentioned that an HDMI mini cable( If not already available ) may be needed as I have a TON of cables except that one ! Would have saved me a few days as I would have ordered one with the kit . Maybe mentioned ? But I did not see it . I ordered a couple of extras . Live and learn .

So as far as the docs go , you can set this up with already loaded preconfigured software and just boot it up . Once it is up and running you access it just like a local pc . Keyboard Mouse Monitor etc. I know you can use it via the Ethernet adapter but I researched on how to change this as a static address instead of the WIFI . WIFI is good but Ethernet in most cases is probably better ! Need to sharpen my programming skills to get back into using SSH also !

Note : I did a dry run via the doc to change the IP to a static via SSH but I'll wait until I deploy and do it onsite . I also need to brush up on my programming language skills as its been about 8 years LOL ..

So ready to go and install at my next sale ! Seems like it was really pretty easy !

I don’t even bother making a static in the Pi. Just use the router/firewall to static IPs. That’s where the dhcp server is. Much easier to control.

I just got mine 3cx preinstalled kit today, conected it to monitor via micro hdmi , have keyboard and mouse, and when I boot it up it asks me to enter 3cx login and password? Is this some defult login information?

Well I don't think I have seen that . Seems like someone already loaded and ran 3CX on it . Can you remove the software and re install it ?

Any suggestion how to try that , because when it boots up , first thing that apperas is 3cx login user and pass?

What I DO know is that it seems that 3cx came preloaded as it seems like it already has an acocunt on it . Did you buy this used or brand new ? Where did you get it from ?

Found it. It is explained on 3cx website "install 3cx on raspberry pi 4 " . User is "pi" pass "raspberry". My bad , thanks anyway!

At the end of this post you should see that there is a linked guide informing you that the preinstalled image is already on the SD card and you can pick up from step 4.

The user/pass is visible on step 3 and is the default that comes with the Raspberry Pi OS. It is recommended of course that you change the password to something that you will know.
