We try to restore a backup file from an existing self hosted 3CX to another self hosted 3CX.
We have done the initial setup of the new PBX with an new FQDN and a new License key.
We have downloaded the backup from the 'old' PBX, unzipped this file and modified the xxxxxxxxDb.xml file with the new FQDN and new license key.
After done this we have compressed this again as a zip file an place this file in the /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Backups folder of the new PBX.
The file is now showing up in the new PBX under Backup.
When we select this file an press the Restore button we get the following error message: Backup file either not found or invalid.

We have done this procedure with another customer before without any problems but this time it failed.

Unzipping the file and compressing it again is not the correct procedure.
If you have the original backup, create a support ticket in order to assist you further with this.

The backup file is to big for attaching this ticket

You will have to create a support ticket from your partner portal to check this further.

You need to adjust the file in the zip file. Dont unzip it. You can use 7zip for this.

We have already managed to restore the backup file with the rights FQDN and License key. Thanks for your support
