We have an in-house 3CX server on Debian 9 and we've found that when calling DIDs the ring time is 15-20 seconds shorter than specified before the calls roll over to voicemail, for example if the ring time is 25 seconds it will only ring 5-10 seconds before rolling over to voicemail. In the call log, it states the call rang for the full ring time length, however this is not the case, and there is not a delay before the ringing begins which could account for this time. If anyone can assist it would be greatly appreciated.

What phones are you using ?

Are they on the same network at the 3CX server ?

Is it happening to all phones with DDI ?

Hi,

It's happening to all phones with a DDI. We are using Polycom VVX410, however when we disconnect the phone and use the 3CX app on the same network as the 3CX server the problem persists. All phones are on the same local network to the server.

If the log shows the sequence of a call, from the Invite, to time out, and then passing the call to voicemail, to be 20 seconds, then I'd have to believe it is 20 seconds. Could there be some other reason, that the set is not ringing immediately, when the Invite is sent? Do you have any other make/model set, to test with? 3CX Windows phone, perhaps?

The handsets are all up to date, and there's not actually a delay in the handsets ringing, they just don't ring for how long they are stated to ring for, but the call log states it is ringing for the full amount of time.

Does the issue persists if you call the extension number directly from a different extension? Check the "Number of calls in use" screen and see if the call arrives at the PBX before the phone starts ringing. Wireshark could also help with this as you can see the exact time the call arrived.
What PBX version are you running? You can see the exact build number on the Dashboard, under the Information column next to the licence version. For example 15.5.15502.6.
