In the process of transitioning a client to 3CX. They currently have a PRi with DID's that are used to route "personal fax numbers" to a 4 port Multi-tech Faxfinder. So the Toshiba unit - uses the DID's to then route to one of 4 Analog ports on the Toshiba system. The caller ID sent is changed from the "CALLER" number to the last 4 digits of the "CALLED" number (that is the DID that was called). So when the faxfinder answers it sees that number as the caller ID. That in turn is used to route the received fax to a particular user.
I can see how to get the calls to a 4 Port FXS. But not seeing a way to get the FXS to send the CALLED number to the Faxfinder. The unit is relatively new - the previous company should have purchased a SIP version, but stuck with Analog. FaxFinder information is pretty sketchy these days. DOes not appear to be away to upgrade this unit to add SIP capabilities. Hoping someone out there has seen this scenario. Looking to move to cloud based FAX if can't make this work. Hoping 3CX might add some more flexibilty with routing for existing Fax receiver in the future. 3rd Party Solution?
