Hello
I had to reinstall an 3CX phone system on Google Cloud (unfortunately without a backup).
I wanted to know how to proceed to change the Authentication KEY ID in SBC for Windows.
I can't use the old key because I don't know it and I have to modify on 4 company PCs in different locations.
I tried to uninstall the "3CX Session Border Controller" program from the Control Panel but it doesn't work, the files and services are always there.
I tried to download again 3CXSBC from the 3CX website and reinstall but a warning appears that there is already a newer version on the PC and nothing happens.
Is there a way to manually edit the configuration files and insert the new information?
Thanks for any support.

Perhaps best easy way is to desinstall existing version on SBC PC, did you reboot after uninstall?

I don't remember having the files and services not uninstalled when trying from CP.
Do you have same behavior on 4Th PCs ?

What is your running SBC version? and PBX too?

Thanks for the reply.
In the end I found myself a practical and functional solution.
However I believe there is a bug in uninstalling SBC for Windows.
Uninstalling from Control Panel, Add Remove Programs did not work on any of the different PCs that had different operating systems. (Win 10 Pro, Win Server 2012 and Win Server 2019). The uninstallation process starts and closes after a few minutes, without any warning message and without having eliminated any services, files and registry key. I also rebooted all the machines but nothing has changed. On reboot everything worked normally.
Solution:
  1. From the task manager I closed the 3CX SBC system services
  2. I downloaded the freeware portable version of Revo Uninstaller, I started the uninstall, even here it starts but does not delete anything using the system procedure; Revo however at the end proceeds to a system scan and detects all the registry keys and all the associated system files, I selected and deleted them all.
  3. Restart (optional) of the PC.
  4. Installation of 3CX SBC now finally proceeds and asks you to enter URL and Authentication KEY ID.
I hope it can help someone else.
Regards

Thanks for the info!

We will look into this. I have a suspicion that it may have something to do with the installer and it happening if after the initial installation, you update via the Management Console.

The solution you mentioned as a temporary fix should be fine, but we will see to get this resolved properly.
