Should i use an SBC at my primary site?

I have an on-premise 3CX server and the bulk of my desk phones are corrected to it (using a local provisioning url). I also have 2 remote SBC servers for 2 other sites. Should i also be running an SBC server at my primary location so the bulk of my phones use the SBC instead of a direct connection to the server? Approx. 40 phones at the primary site.

If they are in the same network, its not necessary to use an sbc.

I can't think of any benefit to using an SBC if the phones are in the same internal network as the 3CX server. It only adds another point of failure. Perhaps the network would be a little less chatty since the SBC protocol consolidates some of the SIP messages into larger packages but that's hardly an issue with 40 phones.

Hai, 40 phones is nothing big deal, if your three sites have IPSec VPN tunnel and you have split DNS in each locations, then provisioning and communication will work smoothly.
