I just moved from the Cudatel to the 3cx and i am getting a SIP ALG failed error. i am using the Barracuda NG firewall with the SIP ALG turned off. i have tried everything and still nothing. Barracuda support went thru all the settings and they confirm the SIP ALG is turned off.
i need help.

Change your firewall perhaps?

You could as a test move the system public facing and by pass the firewall, this would prove either way.

Windows firewall perhaps enabled? Possibly may have a SIP ALG service running on Windows.

Windows has no firewall installed or enabled. it might be cheaper to change the PBX server rather than replacing my firewall.

The only other thought is that SIP ALG could be a command line entry to switch it off.

Try calling the firewall provider again if you got 1st line before try and see if you can speak to someone more senior possibly.

Is there an actual issue? While it is preferred to have SIP ALG off you don't need it to be. If you run into issues the first thing 3CX support (and folks here on the forum) will ask is if the firewall test passes. But it is just a test after all so if your phones are working just fine it's nothing to worry about.
