Have you ever wondered of the limitation of SIP Forking? a single extension can have multiple phones registered, but is there a limit on how much phone can be registered on a single extension?

Hey Archie,

You should consider that even if you register 100 phones in a single extension, once this extension is on a call all the phones should act as configured rules and if the option to get more than 1 call at a time is not enable it is kind of useless to do so. More than that the system have enough functions to avoid this kind of situation since it's limited by the simultaneous calls and not by extensions , trunk or anything else.

The limitation I see, if you tried to SIP Fork an outrageous number of extensions, is the ability to send out all of the SIP messages, for an incoming call, in a timely manner. At some point, the call may be answered before the last extension even begins to ring. For most situations, there isn't going to be a problem.
