Solved Sip Paging Server

Good morning,

I have a Cyberdata SIP paging server with bell scheduler setup with multiple Cyberdata speakers in our facility. I have configured the paging server to send bells to all of the speakers, and I have configured 3cx to send multicast pages in a ring group to each speaker as well. I know that my sip paging server has 3cx support and can be provisioned inside of 3cx, but my question is what can I do with this?

Could I provision and configure just the paging server as a ring group, so that when it is dialed it will send out to all of the speakers?

Hello,

The CyberData Paging Server can be registered as a regular extension, from there you can call it within a ring group as needed. 3CX will only add the extension and any further connectivity and configuration you require on the SIP server will need to handled within the device config.

Oh okay, so what happens after I configure and make a call to the paging server in 3cx is solely determined by how I configure that device in it's own settings?

Yes, just like any SIP device, registered to 3CX. 3CX will send an Invite to a device, what the device does with the call information contained in the Invite, is determined by the programming in the device.
