Good Evening All

3cx - 16.0.7.1074, Hosted in Azure,

T33P Phone connects fine
Network cable out of that into T53W works fine. Both reported into the PBX and I was able to carry out firmware upgrades on both.

Remove the network cable from T53W, connect the phone to Wifi - Account won't register. Factory reset and rebuild from scratch, same issue.

Yes, I replaced the MAC address in the 3CX system with the WiFi-MAC on the phone.

I also deleted the phone out of the system and tried it from scratch.

Any further suggestions please?

Kindest Regards

Alex Nicol

3CX Activity Log showing any sign of a registration attempt? Can you ping the device when using Wifi? IP is not blacklisted?

Nothing in Activity log, but if I try and manually configure the account it will block the IP due to numerous failed attempts.

Can ping and access the device fine on WiFi on internal network

IP not blacklisted as able to access the admin console from same network.

Thank you for your questions though. At least I'm on the right lines.

If there is no log, showing a registration attempt, then I would have to assume it is not even reaching 3CX. Are you using any other SIP devices on the same Wifi network...3CX app on a phone?

App on phone and laptop. Both on WiFi, both connecting without issue.

Does the router show the phone is actually connected over Wifi, and you have no firewall, of sorts, separating the wired and wireless networks? Same subnet ? You're using STUN, or behind an SBC?

Yup. Router shows connected. It's a Technicolour Tamagotchi thing of a router as I'm working from home. Same subnet. No previous issues between wired and wireless traffic.

Since there is no Activity Log, you might consider using Wireshark (at each end) to see where the set is sending registration. It does not seem to be sending it to the server.

Thank you. I will give this a go and feedback.

From my experience, Wi-Fi phones use the same MAC as LAN for provisioning. Not the Wi-Fi adapter MAC.

Except Wi-Fi-only phones of course.

Yeah... don't use the WiFi adapter mac. And don't use Alpha/Betas :)

Is that the 3CX versions? I was advised to go to the Beta version to get the provisioning for the T33p which is the base phones for this client. They work fine now :)

I factory reset the phone and this time manually configured the WiFi instead of using WPS. This time I was presented with a Redirector login that accepted extension number and voicemail pin, but still reported back as No Service.

I will try again with the LAN Mac and report back.
