Hi,

I have a user who is used to hitting the # key on a Yealink Phone in order to Make the Call (after he punches in the number he wants to call). The problem is, we now switched his phone to a SNOM 715 which doesn't seem to allow that feature. If he hits the # key on the SNOM 715 after he dials the number, the # is simply added to the DID and causes an error (i.e. does not make the call).

Is there a workaround to this, so he can hit the # key on the SNOM to Make The Call, without effecting the other Yealinks in the office?

Hi,

To dial the number when the pound key is pressed, please setup the “Dial-Plan String” with:

!([^#]+)#!sip:\1@\d!d

This dial plan entry will look for a pattern ending in a pound symbol and use this as the user name in a SIP URI (not including the pound symbol).

The Dial-Plan String can be found in Setup > Identity x > SIP tab.

Hi complex1,

Just tried this and it worked!

Many, many thanks. You rock!
