In Progress Snom Phonebook - Queued for Development

Hello 3cx Community,

actually the Snom phones only show mobile phonenumbers on the phonebook,
I want to ask if it's planed to include business phonenumbers in a future release or if there is a possibility of including them.

Now with the nice Office 365 shared Mailbox Contact Integration landing in 16.0.6.

And the sync into 3cx working.... we might take a few days to get the sync to the IP-Phones more decent...

Wouldn't it be nice to have more than one Number Sync to IP Phones by default... at least for the company directory... People are still using their Desk phones in 2020.

Present Issues

• The default place to enter a company phone number is not mobil...
• Contacts without a first or last name are empty... or only have the mobil number... with no way of knowing what number that is...

I know that the scope of Personal contacts and merging them with company contacts and providing a custom xml for ervery provisioned phone is big...

But maybe a smaler scope of just getting the company phonebook working better would be a huge step for a lot of people...

and there are scripts in the Forum taking care of this issues... but... they will not work for hosting by 3cx... so everybody who just applied the fix for their customer will come to you now that will be not possible in a managed environment...

The biggest problem is that the changes made through Script may disappear with the new updates. I developed my own Script to change the XML 2 years ago, after the first update it stopped working and it was recommended not to use a script for these functions.
In this forum the idea was taken into consideration (3 years ago) but nothing has happened about it.

Did you solve your problems with 3cx?
I think this Problem (Snom Phonebook) doesnt be repair, it´s in progress since 3 years...

why it is not possible to implement these function? in times of skype, teams, zoom and other solutions, the benefit of seperate pbx is to use it with mobile (dect) solutions like multi cell environments. so it is a primary and important function that the customers have access to the telefone numbers... i really cant understand why it is not implemented yet. i think the development effort is not really high.
