SSL Renew Failed

Hi All,

I have had a problem renewing SSL since 1 march 2022

Name or service not known (activation.3cx.com:443) in Data/Logs/PbxConfigToolRenewCertificates.log

No outbound firewall inside the server. What I've missed in this case?

• 3CX Version, 18.0 (Build 1880)
• Server OS Debian 10
• VM On Azure

Yes. It has been retired since March as we mentioned a while back.

Customers had to update before that date as per our publicized communication.

This should solve the problem, and you will be able to activate normally afterwards. You can also enable automatic updates in 3CX if this system is not checked very frequently by an administrator, and it will install the stable updates when they come out, as well as some Debian security updates on a scheduled basis.


You can pick late hours like 02:00 AM to avoid affecting users during business hours
