We have installed v16 and been playing with it hard. It is very robost, good response and so far, so good.
Any time frame which the official v18 would be released to the general public? We are eagerly waiting for the v18...

We want V18 to be perfect, so we are spending some time on details and some last things.
Final might be another 1-2 weeks, but there is going to probably be another release before that happens, so stay tuned.

Are we still getting Onboard Webmeeting Portal as mentioned in Alpha 1?

Yes, we will be moving some of the WebMeeting services to the 3CX Installation. That is still planned as promised. :)

Thanks for the response. You mentioned "some", what will not be on the 3CX Installation?

I'm sure it will show up in the changelog.

In order for WebMeeting to work, it uses a number of services that work together to bring the result you see.

We have outlined the plan for WebMeeting in V18 in the original V18 Roadmap blog post:
https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/roadmap-v18-alpha/

As a first step, the Webmeeting portal will be hosted on the 3CX instance, with more to come at later stages.

[EDIT]
You can also read more about the WebMeeting improvements for V18 in our latest blog post here:

@Ubiratan Martins Nice to talk to you too! We are working on the license level for this... One thing is for sure that the system requires more memory and CPU so a larger hosted instance or machine will be required. After we release v18 we will turn our attention to this so give us another two months or so.

Compromised passwords are a top security issue so clearly SSO has to be in every version of 3CX. We will also make configuration easier by integrating it in the setup wizard in time. Audit log is really for larger installs with multiple admins, though we have taken onboard your feedback @Phone systems NZ
This week a customer from Portugal asked me for a DID in Brazil. While I was setting it up, I noticed that his recent install of 3CX already is V18. I also noticed that V18 has integration with Google Contacts. I was looking forward to this integration. Is it official? As a Workspace customer, I want to know ASAP who is calling me. integração Google.png

The V18 is actually in Aloha stage right now (not ready for production) so I strongly suggest you reinstall the system using V16 which is the latest official and supported release.

As for this integration, it has nothing to do with Google Contacts (as of now, maybe it's in their roadmap, we don't know), but rather for SSO using G Suite (WorkSpace.) The Microsoft 365 integration does have User, Contacts and Calendar sync along with SSO coming in V18.

There's currently no way to use Google Contacts in 3CX. However, you could try using the Google's API to integrate using the CRM Integration.

I really appreciate your tips, Frederick. Thank you so much. But actually, I haven't installed the 3CX, the customer did it for your own, I only logged in to set up the trunk, and I noticed he is using V18. But I guess he used the PBX express and hosted it by 3CX. As he is in Europe, I thought maybe V18 is already available there.

No, V18 is not available in one region and not another. Those releases are worldwide.

They didn't use PBXExpress for sure because that one still deploy V16 on Debian 9. They probably used the Debian 10 ISO from the blog post talking about the Alpha, and they installed it not knowing the danger.

Once again, I strongly suggest advising the customer to downgrade to V16 to be fully supported until V18 is officially released.

Frederick, the customer has installed using the PBX express tool and, it seems to be hosted by 3CX.

I agree with your strong recommendation, Anyway, the thing is that the project has only 01 SC and 3 extensions, let's maintain this deployment, even knowing about the risk.

3CX does let you deploy v18 via PBXexpress
