Struggling to restore the phone system to a new server, any help appreciated

Hello all.

This weekend I am due to move the 3cx system to a new server.

Whilst doing my pre backup checks, I decided to fully update the phone system to Version 16.0.7.930, and run a backup.

Now I have transferred the backup to a new server I am getting this error:

The backup version 16.0.7.930 is newer than the PBX version 16.0.6.655. You can restore this backup only with PBX version 16.0.7.930 or newer.

I cant seem to find anywhere that I can get the latest version from the 3cx website. Surely it should be released if we are able to update 3cx right?

The upshot is that I restore an older backup possibly. But anyone know any way around this? Or where I can get the latest version?

Hi , you pushed a Beta release 16.0.7.930 , this is not to production use.
So for now latest stable release is 16.0.6.655.

Do you have another PBX backup done before when it was in Stable version ?

Yes I do luckily. I can do that. Just not all the call logs will be there for a few days.

I can transfer the recordings manually however.

Hi Paul,
So you can retry a new install from previous backup.
For your question, no idea at all , never tried , generally this is in opposite way, You have a PBX backup from an older release to restore on a newer version

I would not downgrade versions, as you do not known what has changed in terms of system settings , database tables, etc

I'm having the same issue but I don't keep any old backups.
What are my options?
Can I update 3cx to 16.0.7 using command line?
Is anywhere where I could download this version?

In theory you can do a blank install using your key. Then upgrade to the alpha and then restore your backup. But next time make sure you have backups and don't upgrade to alpha/beta releases.

If you don't want to lose any data (including the recordings entry list logged in the database), you must necessarily stay on the U7 alpha. Trying to force this backup on an U6 may cause corruption and you might end up in a much worse condition than having to work on the alpha for a short while.

Your other option is to restore the previous backup to a U6 but you will lose your logs, and your management console's recordings section will not show any recordings that exist on the disk, and were made after the backup.
