Solved Stuck on version 16.0.5.611

Hello;

I have a problem in updating our on premise 3CX box, it's currently on version 16.0.5.611 and can't update to version 16.0.5.619.
Every time I try to update it, as soon as I confirm the update, it logs me out of the 3CX console.
I tried this command after connecting with SSH.

wget -O - https://downloads.3cx.com/downloads/misc/debianpatches/9/16/0/5/20200619-os-update.sh | bash

It installed fine and tell me:

Update completed. You may update 3CX from the Management Console or enable 3CX Instance Management.

But when I try to update it from the console, the same thing happens.

Any help with be greatly appreciated.

The immediate log-out is normal. It actually says so on the popup, as I recall. Then the update runs in the background. Does your server email you the log of the failed install? It should...

As v16 can no longer activate unless running v16.0.8.16, what I suggest you do is:

1. Take a full backup, move it away from the machine.
2. Deploy a new Debian 10 and 3CX Instance using the 3CX ISO.
3. Restore the backup during installation.

If you have a cloud PBX you can use our customer portal deployment wizard to deploy the new machine.

Note: Keep the v16 backup until you've confirmed everything is in order with the new instance.

I was thinking of this, since there are several issues,
will the backup work even from this old version?
