I know this hardware is not specifically supported. But has anyone been able to get it to work as a 'Generic Gateway Device' and cares to give me some pointers?
Outgoing calls IP Phone => 3CX => Gateway => PSTN are working, but incoming calls PSTN => Gateway => 3CX => IP Phone give me a headache.

First thing to do is to check (Activity Log, Verbose) and see if the calls are making it to 3CX, and if so, what is happening after that..

In a nutshell, when a PSTN gateway sends a call to 3CX it is usually set to "forward" to the trunk number, and set to one stage dialing. If you don't see a log, it may be because the gateway is not set to send to the correct destination ( IP and PORT).
I'm assuming that both the gateway and 3CX are on the same network.

Got it to work. Had to contact Synway support. Their document “How to configure Synway Gateway for a connection with 3CX Phone System” is outdated and lacks critical information. Their hardware provides excellent call quality (so far).

I've never heard of Synway but it's not like gateways are cutting edge technology. I've used a number of different products and they all work fine, you just have to make your own templates/adjustments. The 3CX supported ones just work out of the box.
