Hi All

Hope someone can point me in the right direction. I am in the UK and transferred a phone number from an old provider to a SIP trunk provided by Gradwell. Before the transfer we set the number to divert all calls to a mobile. After the transfer, this is still happening.

Anyone know how I can cancel the divert on the trunk number so that it goes through to 3cx ?

How did you set the convert - did you dial a code or got the phone company to do it

This is something you need to discuss probably with Gradwell or previous company.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. The divert was put in place using the phone menus on the old system. I think to cancel it I need to dial #21#. But when I try to dial this from the softphone on 3cx I get an error failed call.

What you are most likely experiencing is called 'residual routing'. It's when you port an number to a new provider but calls make on the old provider's network still follow the old routing because they didn't remove the number from the network. You need to call the old provider and ask them to make sure they removed the number from their network. Be sure that Gradwell confirmed the port has gone through first.

Hi

Thank you. this turned out to be the case. All working now.
