Twilio authentication issues

I can't get 3CX to work with Twilio with any type of authentication it will only work IP based. The issue appears to be 3CX as if I change setting on 3CX to "Do not require - IP BASED" it will connect just fine. If I set it to register/account based it fails to even get a response from Twilio. Any ideas what can cause this?

Twilios SIP trunks are IP based only, not registration based. I have raised this with them before.

This is simply what they support.

If I remove the IP whitelist on Twilio altogether but set 3CX to "Do not require - IP BASED" I am able to connect. Couldn't find a mention of this in the guide unless I am missed it somehow. Should be added to mention how it differs from a normal provider. Would have saved me hours of troubleshooting

The template is pre-configured for IP authentication, the guide doesn't mention anything about authentication and Twilio doesn't provide credentials. The only issue here is it seems you didn't use the 3CX provided template or otherwise decided to deviate from the guide. And I'm not sure what you mean by normal provider. On the 3CX page for US providers 5 of the listed providers show IP-based authentication, and while we are listed as registration-based, we also support IP authentication. There's nothing abnormal about IP based authentication.

I have dug through my emails and found the one from Twilio regarding this, see below:

"You are correct that we don't offer registration for SIP trunks.

We do not have plans to offer registration for SIP trunks in the near future, but I will let our product team know of your interest to help our team prioritise this feature for a future release."

They offer the SIP interfaces product for SIP endpoint registration only:
