Hello,

So I have a Yealink SIP-T29G that is currently in a remote site and it's connected to the main office via SBC. There is no major problem with connection/calls but there are some small problems I can't seem to be able to fix:

  1. I am unable to upgrade the phone's firmware via the 3CX Phone System Management Console in the main office. I tried reset them and update to an empty profile, doesn't work.

  2. The T29G moves around to different room sometimes. When it connects to a new location, it cannot login to the queue system via BLF or *62. Users would have to manually queue in using the 3CX windows application. Strangely, users could use the BLF or *62 for the subsequent queue in's. So, only the 1st queue in would have problem.
The SBC is connected using a Raspberry Pi btw. If anyone have encountered similar problems or have solutions I would be greatly appreciated.

Yes this if I recall was an issue raised a few years back (at least upgrade of firmware to remote sites).

What firmware version are the phones on and what version of 3CX?

3CX version: 15.5.15502.6
T29G version: 46.83.0.20 (newest firmware available: 46.83.0.55)

Hello @FMRS_IT

Are the phones rebooting when you try to update the firmware or they do nothing? If the phones reboot then please note that the firmware you are trying to update from is the firmware Yealink had an issue updating from and we needed to release a patch for. The PBX will successfully deliver the firmware however since you are using an older model you could be timing out before the process completes.
If the phones do nothing then you might need to make sure that your https port is accessible as that is the port used for updating the firmware.
