Hi,
I have a problem with clean installation from ISO file. Installation script is not started after Debian installation. I tried update&&upgrade the system and then add 3cx repo to the list.
But when I try run the command:
Code:
sudo apt install 3cxpbx
debian returns:
Code:
root@debian:/home/pavel# sudo apt install 3cxpbx

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

Why I have error from pre-prepared image?

I solved this problem. It was in the wrong 3cx repository which is designed for Debian 9 "Stretch". The ISO image that is located in the download section is still Debian 8 Jesse. But the installation instructions already contain the updated "Stretch" repository - https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/installing-debian-linux-pbx/

I replaced "Stretch" to "Jessie" in the repo links (included in this file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/3cxpbx.list ) and problem was solved.
I think 3CX team should make a few changes to the instructions and download section:
  1. Add checksums near ISO images
  2. Add version of distro . Users will think that latest version of Debian is included in ISO.
  3. Add two different instructons to the installation manual for Debian 8 and Debian 9.

Hi @voipdevice,

It seems that you installed the deprecated Debian Jessie-based ISO which is not compatible with v16, as described in the installation guide.
Please download the latest version available as referred to in the installation guide.

Hi.
We seems to have the same problem - we are using the newest ISO, that contains a Stabel 3CX, a Beta SBC and a Stabel SBC. The 3CX installation does not start after the reboot dscribed in step 16 in the guide (https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/installing-debian-linux-pbx/).
It just come up with the root login, as Debian GNU/Linux 9 <hostname> tty1,
When I log in, nothing happens (It dosent start the 3CX Configuration).
Running sudo apt install 3cxpbx - it states that 3cxpbx are already the newewst version (16.0.2.900).

How can I trigger the 3CX Installation from here?

Thank you

Hi everyone, I just checked and indeed the "Jessie" ISO was available up until about a week ago in 1-2 links on our website. Probably that is where you got it from.

Anyhow, we have now updated all links on our website so all are now pointing to the new Stretch ISO.

Thanks for letting us know!
