So on-prem PSTN Gateways will be supported with Update 6 when the PBX is on a remote network? Will this require a SBC?
 
remote networks, in the definition of routed over WAN connections, can from U6 be used via the 3CX SBC now. remote networks which are routed internally do not need an SBC, including VPN.

That's great, hosting the PBX while keeping onsite ISDN lines is a great step forward.

ISDN and POT gateways are not included, FXS is!

This is a really nice thing to have with the SBC.

Why can't it work for FXO/ISDN? If FXS works and I figured you tested faxing on T38 as well...

As those devices shall be replaced with SIP Trunks which fits the location 'Cloud'. For FXS endpoints there is no other replacement and therefore been added into the SBC support.

I deployed one on my NFR key but afterwards the fqdn was wrong so I released it.
Now I want to redeploy/reinstall and this isn't possible so it seems. Am I missing something ?
Forgot to write down the IP address as well :D
 
I want enable instance manager on 3cx for window instance.
 
Personally I am not entirely sure why so much effort it is out into 3CX hosted solutions. There are so many things that are on the "Cooking in the kitchen list"

Besides, with Azure, AWS and google, why is this still a thing? I am not criticizing just really wondering how this in 2020 is still going to be profitable for you guys. It's having additional resources taken away from futures and requests that are pending for from V5...

- The new iOS app that was meant to be released end of May, is still in beta (great app by the way!)
- Video Calling in the App still lacks h264 support (budget thing?)
- etc.

Just my 2 cents.

So I'm fairly certain the guys working on the iOS app aren't the same guys working on the 3CX hosting so it's not like one is taking resources from the other. And per 3CX this was a much requested feature from 3CX partners. While Azure/AWS/GCP is simple for some, it's not simple for others. This lowers the barrier for those without the technical knowledge or resources to set that up. It's buy a license, push via PBX Express and have a supported environment without worrying about setting up the hosting side first, separate payment process, etc.

I get all of that. But what do you recon costs more money? Having 5 or 10 staff employed? It's a business decision that I hope works but doesn't affect development.
 
@PaulEmous - We are not working on our own hosting infrastructure of course. Hosted by 3CX will be hosted on Amazon or another big hoster. What we will do is ongoing monitoring, instance management and updates. And thus remove a headache for partners and customers alike. You dont have to worry about updating your linux instance or PBX anymore as it will be handled by us.

Another nice point is that we can obtain unbeatable pricing because of the volume of machines that we will be deploying. Its going to be *VERY* price competitive.

That said you can of course manage it yourself (and we continue to make the process easier) on premise or in your private cloud and we understand that for many companies this is preferable.

when do you think this build will go GA? i have about 3 installs waiting on the pi 4 support as it's hard to get the Pi 3's locally now.

Will the new feature in O365 to use a shared mailbox as the company address book be also available for on premise exchange servers? This is really old fashioned when you have to copy everything to a public folder to import it into 3cx.
