we will provide a guide soon how to transfer an on-premise installation into the cloud. As @cobaltit already pointed out, you can take a backup of your current instance, deploy one in the cloud and then via backup and restore (ftp, sftp, etc) mount the backup into the system and restore it.

That been said, if you have local devices connected to it, like an IP Phone, FXS Gateway, PSTN Gateway, some pre-move work needs to be done to be able to connect to the new service endpoint. If you went 3CXPhone (Windows, Android, iOS) and WebClient only, then nothing further needs to be done.
 
@StefanW So far everything looks pretty good. Having trouble with Google transcription though. I added the IPv4 address to the application restriction but no go. If I set the restrictions to 'None' it works. It seems like the instance is probably using IPv6 to talk to the Google API but there's no way for us to see what that IPv6 address is. So either that needs to be exposed in the management console, IPv6 needs to be disabled on the instance or the guide should be updated to reflect 'None' as the recommended setting when using 3CX hosting.
 
good point, we will add a public IPv6 Address if available.

No, you may use for IP Phones the 3CX SBC in the location where the devices are located.

I doubt it. I think this is to provide a uniform and simple hosting offering for new partners. VPNs generally involve a more complex setup that would require direct access to the underlying cloud infrastructure.

Where are hosted instance for France? are they on French Hoster? this is to comply with GDPR

Do you know what will be future prices including hosts?
 
@aws2p , the instance will be within the EEA, but at the moment not in France itself. I assume that within 3 to 4 weeks we have the deal ready to be directly in France. Upon availability, we then are able to relocate the instances.

Pricing is not available/finalized as we speak. I would assume that in 1 or 2 months we will be able to share this information with our partners.

Are Call Flow APPs supported?
 
Moved our system today to this. Instance manager is missing, also how do we manage the VM like restarts and diags etc?

You don't. 3CX is not providing you a VM. 3CX is providing you hosting. Their (rented) infrastructure, their management. If you want full control, you go get your own VM.

For the instance manager, I'm not sure if that will show up either, or it may be something at a later date. This is an alpha of U6 and beta of the hosting after all.

Baha, yes of course. I'd seen on a roapmap that SMS was planned for update 6, figured I'd ask :)

I asked it because I tested it as you comment with the second NFR and CFD APPs option didn't appear. ;)
 
Hosted by 3CX instances come with:

  • Pre-activated Instance Manager
    (You may access from the customer portal your instance)

  • Hosted Instance Mode is enabled (https://www.3cx.com/docs/pbx-hosting-admin/)
    This disables/locks some configuration options, which is managed by the hosting provider.
    Those are in brief
    • Removes Customer Templates
    • Disables CFD
    • Removes Access to Settings for
      • Network
      • Instance Manager
      • Parameter Table
    • Locks Quota for
      • Recording
      • Vbox Storage
    • Locks local Path for local Recording and Backup storage
    • Removes Terminal Window from Dashboard
