Currently, recording opt-out via DTMF is only available on Queue level in 3CX. This is missing for DID calls routed directly to a user (extension).
Use case
When a DID is assigned directly to a user, there is no way for callers to opt out of recording.
Current workaround
Creating a queue per DID with a single user just to enable opt-out. This is not scalable and adds unnecessary complexity.
Suggestion
Allow user-level intro messages with DTMF (e.g. “Press 3 to opt out of recording”), similar to queues.
Benefit
Possible extra user settings:
☑ Play Recording Announcement
☑ Allow Recording Opt-Out via DTMF
☑ Apply to inbound DID calls
☑ Apply to internal calls (optional)
Optional delay before call is connected
