Debian 3CX v16.0.1.273

There are certain numbers that we would like to keep callers from dialing at the IVR menu. I have seen other posts asking this and they are all for older versions. Some recommend using "IVRDONOTCALL" but that doesn't exist anymore. Newer post say to use IVR_DIRECT_DIALING_GRAMMAR with the same blurb each time.

IVR_DIRECT_DIALING_GRAMMAR is simply a regular expression. Adjust that parameter to suit your needs and restart the services, or easier just restart the server.
As an example the below regular expression, aka what is set for IVR_DIRECT_DIALING_GRAMMAR, disables the ability to dial extensions 2400 and 2500 while still recognizing four digit extensions:
((?!2400|2500)[0-9]{4})

Im not familiar with Regular expressions and when I tried to find a reference sheet none of them seem to line up with or explain this syntax.

We use 3 digits so our expression is [0-9]{3} normally. So to block people from dialling extension 111, 222, and 333 it should be ((?!111|222|333)[0-9]{3}) then Restart system. Correct?

Hey Still wondering about this.

Hi @redbudindustries

This only supports range and length. You can either allow them all or block them all effectively.

You can do for example ((?!000)[0-9]{3}) and restart services.

For a 3 digit system it will block extension 000.

This may also break your IVR, better run a backup first ;)
