V18 Beta 1 - Gearing up for release

Will the issue with the attended transfer not visible in calls ever be resolved?
And please autoupdate the calls list in the web-/desktop client.

Hi
I have a simple question.
Is it possible in V18 to get holidays for groups or etensions like Office hours?
In Switzerland we have different regions they have different holidays.
If you have a company with different locations so you could have differnt holidays.
If is possible to get in the holiday settings would be great.
I think Germany has also different holidays in different regions like Bayern or Baden-Würtemberg.

Cheers
Andi

Using the built-in Holidays options, no, you can have your Extensions and/or Inbound Rules either follow the set of Holidays you have set for your 3CX installation or configure them not to follow the Holidays at all.
You cannot have different extensions follows different Holidays.

For Inbound Rules, you could however forward all calls to a CFD App, and in that app then build the logic for different Holidays and where to forward the calls in each case.
This approach though would still not affect the Extensions, only how incoming calls are routed in your system.

Thanks Nick for the answer.
Much appreciated.
Another idea was to set holidays per SIP Trunk so would be easier but your right this works with CFD.
I like the CFD its a great tool and help me for any client. Its an amazing tuning tool for 3CX system.

V18 is a a a new high level of communication.
Thanks for your inovation and big work.

Hi, I think this got lost in the ocean of questions :D
Hi Davide - No the extension is going away and replaced by the electron App. There will be a Mac version of the electron app at some point. For linux users there is the web client.

@JohnMooreCC Thanks for the headsup! yes outbound call view is still on the cards. Re the search bar, please note the search bar on the default screen works exactly like the old one. You can enter a number or search for a contact or person within the company. Agreed on the ring tone....

Hi guys,
just installed a new PI4 like described here.
https://www.3cx.com/docs/installing-pbx-raspberry-pi/

You get a debian 10 with v16 3CX installation.
wget https://downloads-global.3cx.com/downloads/misc/d10pi.zip; sudo bash d10pi.zip

On debian v9 installations it offers an upgrade to debian 10 and v18 from the WebUI, but not for my fresh installation. How can I upgrade to v18 beta2?

Or do I have to reinstall and use parameter from script?

"
backtitle="3CX PBX & SBC for Raspberry Pi"
pbx_release_type="stable" # Available Options are 'stable' and 'beta'
"

Noticed an issue today with the new Windows app. Firstly the scenario with the chrome extension, we often get calls for someone and know that they don’t want to take it, so when we type in someone’s name to transfer the call to, it offers the persons voicemail as a destination. When using the Windows app today, the voicemail wasn’t offered. I had to type in the persons name, note down the extension number then transfer it to *4<ext>
Please can we get the option to transfer to an extensions voicemail reinstated
Hi Alan, We will check this out

Hi @ITMoped ,

The reason why this happens is because installation that are Deb9 + V16, get the OS Upgrade option (Deb9 to 10), but during the same process, the V16 gets upgraded to V18.

Now because your installation is already on Deb10, it does not get the OS Upgrade option.

At this moment, there is no option for Deb10 users running V16 to upgrade to V18 Beta2 via the Management Console.

If you want to install it, here is what you need to do:
  1. Take a backup of your 3CX installation and download it
  2. Log in via SSH and use the commands:
    Bash:
    sudo apt update
    sudo apt install 3cxpbx=18.0.0.1865
  3. Wait for process to finish
Note:
This should be fine for testing, but for production systems, I would suggest waiting for an option to appear in the Management Console.

The new update is looking great guys!

I had Teams integration working in about an hour. Love the new layout of panels in settings too.

The only thing that seems not to work for me is presence integration. Am I right to assume that presence changes in one system (Teams/3CX) should flow through to the other?

When I go into the Microsoft 365 integration page I get this banner.
"Status OK. Real Time Notifications to Microsoft 365 and back are working. This means that changes from Microsoft 365 to 3CX will be updated.", so I am guessing that it should work OK.

Is it possible to have a better french translation on the Windows Desktop App ? There is some french words and english words ...

when you are on v18 beta 2, and look in the web-based 3CX APP, you should see already the final FR translation. This will be merged into the native app with the next version! Let me know if this addresses the quality of the translation!

Not exactly, Information such as the profile status does not get synced unless using the 365 calendar sync which will only trigger on a calendar event.

Information such as call state is also not shared unless the Teams user is in a call that involves 3CX, such as being on a call with another 3CX extension or another Teams extension that has been synced with the same 3CX system.

Hi,

does anyone know when the hotkeys will supported in the V18 Windows desktop client?

@beon working on already :)

Preparing them for the U1 release.

3CX Team,

This is awesome, have lots of Teams clients clamoring to use this!

Couple of things I found while lab'ing up our demo environment.

1) In case not already known. This issue seems to have returned - https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...-certificate-file-name-mapping-problem.75067/ . I fixed by renaming the certs. and yes realize I'll have to install all new later, but this was just a demo system.

2) Call queue callback doesn't seem to work via my setup when using Teams. I am able to place and receive calls normally to/from Teams. However if a caller requests a callback from a queue this fails if I use Teams to answer the callback request. If I answer using 3cx web app it works fine. Looking at the 3CX logging it seems like 3cx isn't recognizing that the Teams user has answered, and thus never proceeds to place the outbound call to the PSTN.

@ucninja thanks for the feedback.. re 2 - for queue calls you must use the 3cx client. The teams client will not be supported for queues / agents. For any " heavy telephony lifting" 3cx client is required. So also for receptionists for example with many transfers.
