We are testing out the v20 upgrade and we have noticed an issue with the user export/import.
When you export a user, the CSV is missing the previous Department information for that you,
and yet, when you import, it complains you must have the Department info to import.

Is this going to be fixed in a future patch?

To clarify, the exported user does not have an assigned department?
What are the steps to reproduce?

Correct.
  • Go to users
  • Select a user (or multiple)
  • Click 'export'
  • Open the CSV file, and the "department" field is empty, regardless if the user has one or multiple departments assigned in 3CX

Here's a pic of the user before export and the resulting CSV (minus the email - since this is the internet after all):

{CSV - since I can't attach a CSV}
Number,FirstName,LastName,EmailAddress,MobileNumber,OutboundCallerID,DID,Role,Department,ClickToCallId,ClickToCallAuth,WMApprove,MAC,Template,Model,Router,Language,Ringtone,QRingtone,VMEnable,VMLanguage,VMPlayMsgDateTime,VMPIN,VMEmailOptions,VMNoPin,VMPlayCallerID,RecordCalls,RecordExternal,RecordCanSee,RecordCanDelete,RecordStartStop,Disabled,HideFWrules,DisableExternalCalls,HideInPhonebook,CallScreening,PinProtected,PinTimeout,AllowLanOnly,SIPID,MS365SignInDisabled,MS365CalendarDisabled,MS365ContactsDisabled,MS365TeamsDisabled,GoogleSignInDisabled

Any further insight on this issue?
Is it a bug that will need to be fixed in a future patch?

I have exactly the same problem: both the departments and the fields for SSO and O365 are not populated in the export, and I can no longer import the employees.

When you manually add the department and modify your csv, are you able to import your user(s)?

yes - if i add it manually to the csv the import is fine.

Perfect, so you can specify the department in this way and then import in the system.

Sorry - that's not a solution - I have almost 100 extensions with users who are in multiple departments. Then I sit for an hour manually entering data that was already set? That is definitely a bug that defined fields in the export suddenly only appear without content.

This should be resolved in perhaps Update 2, and for now you can use the workaround above.

Great - if it is fixed with SP2, I can work with the workaround in the meantime. Thank you!

Is there an update on this?

I would LOVE to be able to export users to gather the Auth ID and Password to import to Yealink Management Cloud

Hi,

is there any way how to export users whose are in multiple Deprartments? It is only exporting 1 department per user despite the fact that user is added to multiple departments.

Importing is also possible with just one department.

No, only the primary group is supported
