Voice Message Bug - Repeated Sending

We've started receiving voce notes from customers at some of our WhatsApp numbers, and there appears to be a bug whereby the message is received over and over and over, with no way to stop it. These numbers go into a call queue, so our whole team is receiving notifications each time we receive one of these.

See attached screenshots. I assume this isn't intended behavior? This happens any time we receive a voice message via WhatsApp (i.e., it's not a single, isolated case).

Anyone else experiencing this? Any idea how to fix it?

It hasn't. We still get voicemails twice. (We're running U6 Alpha)

As we understand, your issue is unrelated to WhatsApp and relates to voicemail messages when using your custom SMTP server. This post is regarding duplicate messages with WhatsApp integration when more than one number is configured under the same meta account.

We can’t say for sure, that it will be before Xmas, but as I have already mentioned it should not be too far away now.

I had this bug on the latest alpha version of U6, only with an image instead of a voice clip. But both are files so I'm guessing they are sent / processed in the same manner.
We kept receiving the same image every hour on the minute (11:23, 12:23, 13:23, xx:23). It stopped when I archived the chat (but that could have been a coincidence of course). I haven't been able to reproduce it.

Even when it is archived, in my case, it still starts receiving the images. Still in update 5 build 418

What's the likely release schedule for U6? I.e. if we hold off rolling things out a few weeks... I assume post holibobs?

Regarding your question, U6 is now in an RC2 release. We do not as yet have an ETA on when it will the full release will but as per the blog post, the final release is just days away.
