Hi,

I installed 3CX 7 on a standalone (not connected to any domain) laptop and I want to provision 2 Polycom phones.
1) Any advice on how to configure? For example, SMTP.
2) I didn't see any polycom .cfg being created by 3CX. Should they? Should I install a tftp server and manually create the .cfg files?

Thanks,

Dan

You can only auto provision the phones if you have the paid version.

Have a look at the support documents for the Polycom's

http://www.3cx.com/support/

Got it. I'll then install a tftp server on the laptop and manually point the phones to it.

Now, what about SMTP so that it can send the voice mails? Any link on how to configure an SMTP server on my laptop?

Thanks.

Hi

You can either install IIS SMTP on the laptop and configure it to relay to your ISP. If you can send emails via your ISP it will be far easier than having to manage an internal mailserver.

Thanks a lot.
