What’s Cooking? Our Road Map

The 7-days limit is not 3CX fault. It's how Push servers work. There's an expiration for those. This is basically Apple's fault. I think Google has an expiration too.

If not, your old iPhone would still receive your Facebook notifications even after selling it.

I understand the 7 days issue did not happened in ver 15.

You realize that the Std 8SC is free, right? So why bother with multitenant?

Also, the "shared office spaces" you speak of are not the most common type of customer for this system. 3CX is aimed at large enterprises that need an affordable system when they have 10000 extensions but only use maybe 100 simultaneous. 3CX's market is there.
We are going to have to agree to disagree on this, I have over 70 3CX commercial licensees registered and 25% of these want what I am suggesting. Are you telling me that all large enterprise businesses are happy to operate via one phonebook? CEO's contacts mixed with reception staff contacts etc.

I would install free 8SC licenses but:
  1. I don't know if its free forever.
  2. It would require multiple machines & WAN IP's or multiple cloud instances to run each tenant/department, making managing it a nightmare if its a 50 office estate.
  3. There's no call recording or queuing on a free license.

All of this sounds good but we still keep losing sale due to the lack of call center features. You claim its great but lacking fundamental features like an end wrap up button, and to allow an agent to go unavailable for calls but still stay logged into the queues. These features are available on every call center software but not 3cx. Also these features are upvoted in forums but 3cx keeps overlooking basic functionaility. Also Need to see better E911 routing built in. It is Huge in the US and i cant have an agen working in 3 offices but keep same extension as Call ID is based off extension rather than MAC ID. Please fix the basic fundamental features.

Loving the Roadmap. Really good to see what the future holds. Would love to see an overhaul of the Wallboard function. Especially from a Call Centre environment. Being able to customise tiles, have more options for granular queue stats. Queue specific features like a 'agent status' field that shows queue specific agents in a list format, their availability/status, last call details etc.

@Cypher_UK Thank you for the feedback. Yes wallboard is something we want to improve when there is time. Specifically to add an outbound leaderboard as well. If you have examples you can post them...

@cortel additions to e911 are coming in update 5 or 6

@Nick Galea any insight on what e911 improvements we may be seeing?

@cortel - we are finalizing the feature set of e911 improvements in the coming days but ones that will certainly make it are

  • ability to customize email with info such as pick up / meeting point
  • send out mail to a list of emails, not just the system admin
  • send a group chat to a list of people

We will also make a way to call an extension or list of extensions with an automated message. This might be update 6 though

@Nick Galea Do we know when we may see official support/firmware for the latest Fanvil Video Door Phones more specifically the i16V and i32V? Thanks.

It is up to the vendor to contact us and request interop for new devices or submit a new firmware for existing devices... If you have a need for them may speak with a representative of Fanvil to make your case and if they agree then they will contact our IOT department.

As previously mentioned, I don't see any updates for reporting functionality and I miss certain updates for the Wallboard panel:

- Call reports group calls on blocks, every stage of the call is grouped under the same block, this is a nightmare when trying to manipulate the data because you only have de data/time value in the first row of the block, but others are blank. This evolves into data manipulation to try to find the time every stage lasted.

- CDRs are ok and easy to use, but they group all call stages in the chain field and we can't figure (again) how many time the call lasted on every step.

- Still no report for AGENT STATUS with REASON CODES or presence and how many time they spent on that status. Again this is fundamental in a CallCenter environment.

- Wallboards: I claimed for a more customizable wallboard since the beginning. I miss a field to see how many agents I have logged in the queue or a value like 2/9 (2 agents busy of a total of 9 logged), the possiblity to delete fields that I don't need (like returned calls) and be able to make the number of waiting calls to blink when it is not "0" as to make agents aware beacause they have big TV's displaying the wallboard.

Reporting and wallboard remain the same update after update and I see no news on the roadmap either.
I value all other updates and we are more than happy with all other functionalities, but please, don't forget to update and improve the Call Center BASICS.

@KBaidak - yes it will support images within SMS, depending on the provider you will choose for sending. But RCS will support images yes.
@Sergio Cadaveira - Thank your feedback. These additional reports and wallboard options are certainly things on our radar for this year.....

Good afternoon ,
My names is Everton ...
Please when generating a report from a specific queue the report will leave with 1 hour more. How can I fix this?

@Everton Sodate I do not fully understand the question but best to open it as a general question in the 3CX Phone System section.

Any update on api ?

Thank you again for all the feedback. All feature requests should still go via the ideas forum please. As you can see the top features that are feasible and well explained are considered. To answer some of your questions:

  1. Polycom - yes it would but it depends on Polycom releasing a proper tested firmware for 3CX. Ball is completely in their court. From our side we are ready to go.
  2. Phonebook improvements - yes something we are considering.
  3. No plans to connect to Microsoft Teams. Teams is not that open and anyway wants to be a phone system in its next life. We did consider being a simple trunk in teams but it was rejected by Microsoft because they want to be the phone system themselves.
256 Enterprise license lost to competitors because no team integration is possible. Annoying. I understand that maybe it doesn't make much sense because the web client already has most of the features.

But the customer then unfortunately decides against 3CX. Please reconsider the decision. Whether teams will have their own telephone system or not. We don't get these customers anyway.

Please reconsider the decision.
It's not their decision. It's Microsoft's. They don't want to integrate with other PBX.

Need an integration anyway? @Excel Telecom or Audiocode could have helped.

No it is not. Other competitors are integrated as normal. Starface and many others

@Nick Galea - It would be great to see an updated post and product roadmap. This one was super helpful!

I hope that 3CX is compatible with Video Conference Kit such as the Polycom that is widely used. There are times that we need to have a voice solution that we can integrate with the current video conference hardware. It would be better if we can use 3CX on that system.
