Running v18 Update 8, Build 939 Enterprise 128sc. We're upgrading to v20 soon but have some logistical issues to be dealt with first.

I inherited the admin of this system from the previous admin that left abruptly. I have in my handoff notes that once a user synced with Microsoft 365, two things would happen:

We’ve run the M465 provisioning setup and have the “Status OK…” message so we assume things are correct.
  • They’ll show “Microsoft 365” in the User’s page under the “Synced with column”.
  • They’ll automatically be added to a group “Azure AD”.
Are these both true statements? Reason why I ask is I have some users with one and other users with the other. Most users have both set. I’m trying to find out why I see this. Thanks!

Please read ;

https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/microsoft-365-v18/

The email address will be the matching criterion between 3CX and Azure.
Ensure that in the user extensions in 3CX, the email address is correctly written and that there are no duplicates; each email address should appear only once in 3CX.

Finally, a user who is not logged in (offline) and does not have the 3CX app configured on their mobile, or is not set up to have their mobile ring simultaneously (GSM phone number), will not appear by default in the users list (extensions) in the WebClient.

People who wish to view non-connected (offline) users (extension) in webclient must change their preferences to see them.
