Hi Team,

All of a sudden ( today ) our phones keep getting blocked with this error we mostly use yealinks and some legacy cisco SPA phones.

Literally nothing has changed with the system i have no idea what happening.

Thanks. Alex

Of course !
  • 3CX Version - 16.0.930
  • Server OS, win 10 pro - up to date
  • IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware - Yealinks T42/T46s few Cisco SPA-****
  • Provisioning Method: Local / VPN / STUN / SBC - Local
  • Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Model - voipfone
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: Yep
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: i dont know so im guessing no
I noticed there was a new template for yealinks have there been yealink issues or any updates people know about recently?

So...your sets are local to the PBX. When you say "blocked", do you mean that the set IP is being blacklisted due to authentication issues? Or. do you mean "blocked", as in...can't place outside calls?

You say nothing has changed but it looks like you are on the Alpha so clearly something has.. So first thing I would do is take your backup from Update 6 and then uninstall/reinstall and restore.

Hi All, I did mean blocked as in blacklisted sorry

"192.168.2.190 on PBX blabla.3cx.co.uk has been blacklisted"
Reason: Too many failed authentications!

The problem seems to have resolved itself for now. I kept whitelisting them and eventually it worked.

What does 'on Alpha' mean like an alpha release as opposed to stable ?

Yes that's exactly that , non stable release need manual action to be installed, so someone did it, if your actual release is 1606730975931.png
then you are on alpha version for test only, not for production. Now you have it installed, if you notice no problems then just wait until release turn into stable

Im not sure how i did that ! Thanks for the help everyone :)
