Yealink T4XU Router Phone ?

Hello Everyone
Hope everyone is doing well and also thanks for your input. Quick question , Does anyone have done or know if Yealink T4XU Phone(s) can be used as router phone ? i m told by Yealink yes and it cab be used as router phone but in 3cx website i only see that T5 series can be router phones only . Thanks

We already have a considerable list of phones that can function as router phones. New in this update, however, is the addition of the Yealink T4U series. This is a popular phone and likely to already be present in many 3CX installs worldwide - meaning you can upgrade this phone to act as a router phone and avoid the need for a dedicated SBC - and in many cases without having to buy a new phone.


Yealink T4U Series has 5 models that can be used as router phones (T41U,T42U,T43U,T46U,T48U). The firmware will need to be updated to enable the router function prior to the configuration.

Follow this guide to Upgrade your Firmware.

@BABALUCHA Notably, update the firmware first. I don’t know about this phone but for other models, trying to set it up with the wrong firmware can trigger an IP block.
