Solved Yealink T58W not accepting calls

I am testing 3cx for our office using a T58W (EXT 0100) and a T46U (ext 1001)

The T46U works great, but the T58W will not accept calls. The extension will ring on my softphone, but not on the T58W. I can call other numbers from the phone, both internal and external, but the phone will not accept any calls. Additionally, I have configured shared parking spaces on both phones. If I park a call on the T46, I can not pick it up on the T58W. The parking spaces show up gray with an X.

Any thoughts on this? Phone is running latest firmware, both extensions are configured identically, and switching the extensions from one phone to another still has the T58W acting up.

How do you provision the phone ?

Is the phone running the support 3cx firmware https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/firmware-update-yealink/

Within 3cx management console , can you see the t58w registered as an extension

Check the activity log, to see is happening to the incoming calls

I am running

• Standard Annual 18.0 Update 2 (Build 314) hosted by 3cx
• Callcentric SIP Trunk
• FW 150.86.0.5 on the T58W Provisioned using STUN

Both phones show up under the "Phones" section of 3cx with their respective extensions.

Another thing I noticed:

• If I place a call from the T58w to the T46U
  • I can answer the call and audio works both ways
  • When I hang up the call from the T46U, the T58W still shows it as active

Have you setup stun phones the 3cx supported way?

You will save yourself a lot of hassle, by installing a sbc server https://www.3cx.com/docs/3cx-tunnel-session-border-controller/

Turned out to be a STUN configuration issue, thanks for the help.

They don't mention the need for port forwarding in the Configuration Guide, but that's what did it. Strange that one phone worked fine and the other did not.

The thing with STUN is that it will sometimes work and sometimes not if you do not do the above. It really depends how your modem / firewall will "auto assess" the situation and this is a roll of the dice most most of the time unless you manually do the port forwards.
