Registering your 3CX FREE Subscription
Introduction
All 3CX FREE subscriptions must be registered and maintained properly. Every license subscription owner has to be registered under a unique email address. Follow the steps below to register your free subscription.
Step 1: Check your Subscription
Pop-Up in the Web Client
If you’re on V18 Update 8 and see a pop-up in the Web Client - your license is not correctly registered. This pop-up alerts you that registration is required.
You can see who the current registered owner is by navigating to “Admin > Dashboard” in your Web Client and locating the License Owner's Email Address as shown above.
Step 2: Create a 3CX Account
If you don’t already have one, create a 3CX Customer account here. This account will serve as your central hub for managing your 3CX subscription.
Step 3: Transfer Subscription Ownership
Subscription Transfer Process
The subscription transfer process must be done from the 3CX Instance which is using the License Key in question. The 3CX Instance must be running V18, Update 8 or higher.
- Login to the 3CX Web Client as a System Administrator or System Owner.
- Go to “Admin > Buy” and click on “Edit” in the “License Owner” section.
Note: If you’re on V20 go to “Admin Console > System > License”.
- Enter the email address of the correct 3CX Customer account and click “Save”.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear, click “OK”.
The 3CX subscription should now be assigned correctly and will be visible in the correct 3CX Customer Account. It will no longer be visible in the previous registered owner’s account.
