How to factory reset a Cisco 7940, 7941, 7960, 7961

Introduction
Follow the steps below to factory reset your Cisco device in order to bring back the factory default settings. This must be done before provisioning your Cisco phone in case the device has residual settings of a previous configuration.
Factory Reset your Cisco phone
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold “#” key and power on the device:
- Keep on holding “#” key until the line key flash orange.
- While the line keys are flashing, in sequential order press “1”, “2”, “3”, “4”, “5”, “6”, “7”, “8”, “9”, “*”, “0”, “#” keys.
- After restart, your phone will be successfully reset.
