I am building a 911 database of sorts for the 3CX system. I have a school that needs 911 transmitted number set per classroom, which the carrier will associate with a building, floor and classroom. I am setting up outbound rules to reflect the 'Calls from extension' and the 'Outbound caller ID'. Will this work in the Outbound Rules fields or should i put them all in System>Emergency>Add emergency numbers fields? I have about 100 entries to make.

Thanks in advance

Thank you, Greg. I am not using Bandwidth or Voxtelesys. In that case, would i use System>Emergency or outbound rules?

@Stephen H, You can also configure geolocation with a Generic Template, it does not have to be Bandwidth or Voxtelesys. Here is also a short video tutorial, which is dated, but still has good info.

Outbound rules are not the best way to go as you cannot transmit a location. We do have several other threads in our Forum which have good info for you as well. https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/multiple-locations-same-outbound-phone-how-to-e911.114300/

If you configure your emergency number, its only going to transmit 1 location. If each classroom has to transmit a unique location then assign each extension with a unique DID, and then from the Carrier's Portal, designate a location (ie. Classroom 22, 2nd floor) which will be sent to PSAP.
