Hi everyone,

Maybe this was posted somewhere but couldn't find a direct solution.
One of our customers is using the PWA app (in Edge) with their 3CX.
They are all but happy about this solution.

One of the biggest problems, and I can also see this on my computer.
When you close down the 3CX app, the app is not really closed but still running as an Edge Extension.
Now when someone calls I do get the Windows notification screen (this was quite a challenge to make this work).

Now the biggest issue the customer has, when the notification popups when calling, there is no sound (ringtone).
This works when the app is open, but if the app is closed, only the notification popup appears but no ringtone.
I checked the settings in the notifications settings in Windows and sound settings in the 3CX app but I cannot make this work.
Anyone know how I can get a ringtone or sounds when someone calls on the PWA when closed?

There are some other issues but that are more user based.
This should need to be solved though as the customer needs to be able to see incoming calls.

Thanks,
Thomas

Hi there, this is more to do with the computer sound settings for notifications than one related directly to 3CX or the PWA.

But I will try to point you in the right direction.

First, check under the computer's settings > Sound and scroll down and press on More Sound settings.

Then from the sound control panel, navigate to the sounds tab, scroll down and select Notifications and choose the sound that you want the notifications to play—for example, Ringe01.wav is chosen here:

Note: All notifications will play this sound, not just the PWA app notification, but there is no way to set to use only this for the PWA unless you disable sound notifications for all other apps that do not have their sound defined. Again, this is somewhat unrelated to 3CX, but I hope this helps.
