When I go to my licensing page I get the following error.
3CX is unable to find a suitable network adapter on this server. Check that you have an enabled network adapter and that it is connected to the internet so 3CX will be able to reach 3CX activation servers and activate your license. Everything else on my 3CX system works just fine. I'm currently on 15.5.

Here are the things I have tried.
Restarting server
Enabling / Disabling Network adapter
Manually changing DNS to 8.8.8.8
Clearing DNS cache

Any help on this would be appreciated.

  • 3CX Version, Pro Perpetual 15.5.15502.6
  • Server OS Windows 10 Server 2012 R2
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? NO
  • IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware Yealink T36
  • Provisioning Method: Local
  • Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Model
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: YES

Does the machine have internet access? Can it resolve/reach our activation server?

Relax your firewall rules and try again if you are not sure.

Yes the computer has internet access. What is the DNS address of the activation server and what IP should it resolve to? Thanks.

try to see if you can resolve activation.3cx.com from your PBX machine

you also have to try to see if you can reach it via browser on your PBX machine https://activation.3cx.com/ (because resolution ≠ reachability). You should get a blank page.

When I browse to https://activation.3cx.com/ I get a blank page.
When I do nslookup I get 151.80.125.88
I also just turned off Windows Firewall completely, but still the same error.

My concern is that without licensing updating correctly will my certificate not be renewed and will my pbx fail? Thanks.

A little confused as there is no Windows 10 Server. So is it Windows 10 or is in Windows Server 2012 R2?

And do you have any 3rd party software on there that might be doing some sort of proxying/firewalling?

Windows Server 2012 R2

No, this is a dedicated Virtual machine.

On this server I did remove a NIC and replace it with a new one. Both virtual of course.

as you have made changes to the virtual machines I would reinstall.

1, full backup of 3cx (including license key and fqdn) - move the backup from the 3cx folders.
2. Uninstall 3cx
3, reboot server
4. Reinstall 3cx using backup for step 1

What vm environment are you using? If the PBX cannot find the current NIC you will have to reinstall as @Saqqara said
