3CX Phone Transfer function

Hello,

According to the specs the 3CX Phone should have a transfer function:

Call transfer (ECT)

I do not mean forward or conference, just plain transfer: I get a call, put it in hold, call another extension and transfer. Or even "blind transfer: I get a call and i transfer it straight away to another extension.

However, I have not been able to understand how this can be done.

We have an Asterisk based server...

Could somebody give me a clue, please?

Our specs are for 3CX PBX, not 3CX Phone. 3CX PBX supports blind, attended and consultation transfers.

Does it means that the softphone doesn't provide this function and I should eventually get it from the PBX? Asterisk in my specific case or by the 3CX Phone system?

Anybody knows how this could be done?

i have little experience with asterisk, cept it beeing a headache for me.

Ive replaced the asterisk of a client of mine (constant compains bout voice quality etc) and put in a 3cx pbx. no more complains about voice quality. also stuff as call forwarding and transfer work perfectly.

I would say, format the asterisk server and install 3cx.

Hello Enzo, are you trying to use 3CX phone with Asterisk?

3CX phone is a free tool provided by the 3CX team.It is meant for testing purposes with 3CX phone system. At the moment the phone does not do transfer. There is a new version (v2) in the works of the phone which will be available around Q3 of 2007 and it will support transfer as well as other features that (v1) of 3CX phone doesn't support at the moment.
