Definitely need a sms provider which supports german did numbers.

None of the three providers in the current version supports german did sms numbers.
SMS with German phone numbers is possible through Twilio. It does require a verified local address. 1609864103441.png

We will soon have another German option which i believe will be much better priced and have local presence in Germany.

Thanks. Twilio is working nice, love to see some german presence provider especially in combination with DSGVO (european/german privacy rules)

We desperately need (I'm selling more of other platforms because of these 3 reasons):
  1. SMS/MMS (More carriers ASAP, how can I fast track this? Can I give a form or something to my account manager to start this process with you guys?)
  2. More ring configuration options for queues and ring groups. Like ring busy agent.
  3. Greetings management options for non-admins of the system. Give clients feature codes to rerecord greetings and/or assign rights to a extension and have an area show up in their web-client.

1. I believe this question has been answered many times. You need to choose from the available SMS carriers
2&3 are feature requests. As you are an affiliate you can not post new ideas but you can find an existing one and vote for it. If you can not find your idea maybe thats an indication too that its not much requested by our other 250K customers.

Hey Nick,
Are you stopping Windows edition?

I wanted to take a moment to tell you how impressed, excited, enthusiastic, I am about 3CX. I advocate for it all the time. I've been following the product since V12 and have V18 alpha set up in a test environment.

If I could just ask a couple of questions...

For V18 alpha is there a channel where we can provide feedback, and I do apologize in advance if I haven't read the fine manual/website/faq deep enough if that has already been answered. There are a couple of things I've observed and wondered if its by design.

I've an IT generalist most of my career but have always considered collaboration and communication what I'm passionate about all the way back to Exchange 5.5 & 2000 where and where I started. My part of the U.S., is in my opinion technologically underserved or at least the options for communications solutions is limited. I see businesses and non-profits use legacy PBX's and 10 year old Cisco Call Manager solutions where I feel 3CX could have eaten their lunches years ago let alone now and I wonder what suggestions you might have to demonstrate the superiority of 3CX? I guess I'm just not a good salesman.

Thank you for your time and an excellent product.

@LyonAdmiral - for me it's simple. Cost savings. Let alone a great feature set (good mobile apps, full SIP compatibility, etc.) but cost savings by switching to 3CX is pretty demonstrable.

I think it's time to add call reason or call disposition after the end of each inbound call as a lot use 3CX for their call centers :)

@LyonAdmiral - Thank you for your nice words! Well i think 3CX advantages over Cisco are a myriad - much easier to administer, more user friendly for the user and last but not least 3CX cost a fraction! Re feedback you can give it here or in the general forum...
@dougkinzinger - Thanks for the heads up :)
@Wael - I would think these are CRM functions, you can integrate with many CRMS and i think customer management and the reason they called would go there...

Glad to see the new features and may try to spin up a test VM to see them. Now just to finish moving my NEC customers over.

I am really interested to see how the help desk will function to possibly replace OSTicket we use for our clients since we are an MSP.

+1 on the update to alpha inline release

@Nick Galea any update on when V18 will be released to the general public?

3CX do not publish when a version is going to be released, with all software it will be released when tested and ready to be released.

You will known when it has been released by a post of this forum or 3CX management console - Updates

@Saqqara I read @GenericAccount as asking for the release of inline alpha as opposed to the .iso which is currently available. @Nick Galea said est release of inline alpha January time frame:

Re the ISO - this is a test drive version - its really very easy to fire it up as a VM. The alpha and beta will be available via the update option in January...

Same here. We are using osTicket, and looking forward to have something integrated with 3CX. Even though we could probably use it through a CRM, it's not worth the dev as it's too limited (osTicket).

@syncwave We have a long list of voip providers (US) who have placed applications to provide SMS. I think just about everyone on our voip providers webpage has applied or intends to apply. If you have ideas on others who should be contacted, reach out to me. You have my email I believe.
