A New Frontier in Communications - 3CX StartUP

I'm afraid not, at least in an initial stage, as this will be javascript code embedded in the Web Client and Desktop App....

Yes, we are planning to support contact lookup, contact creation, call journaling and chat journaling. Also giving the user the option to add call notes while they speak with the customer, and define the contact name from the client, instead of providing a default name that you need to change from the CRM side. We're also considering sending the call recording to the CRM, but this might not be available initially, we are still at an early stage to confirm this.
Custom IS needed ASAP. Our whole business is around that. Even if JS, we can program our own JS.

DID and call recording would be amazing. The rest were things planned from a few updates ago lol Adding call notes is definitely sweet.

Yes its on our radar and we will add this client side for all types of 3CX. Custom integrations we want to find a way you can trigger your own code for example..... And also log recording link for sure
How about just give us a DesktopApp API? A way to receive/send data to it like the old Windows client/TAPI? This way, no need for any of your own integrations. We can do our own.

You mean a way to trigger a call and be called upon receiving a call? Right now you can trigger a URL with the number on inbound call. I think you can trigger a call as well. Just do same as click2call extension does. is that what you mean?

Yes it's what I mean but it currently has big issues like opening for internal calls and having no other information than caller name and number. It could probably expose some kind of JS local websocket we could connect to and get events or send commands.

All I really want is the ability to do deeper integrations like Salesforce CTI or the good ol' PhoneBridge (the new one tho.) I know a REST API is coming, but I didn't see any docs yet so I'm scared it won't provide what we need.

I'd be happy to discuss these with you in DM. I've done a lot of integrations so I know what's really asked for and never asked for.

The idea had been to integrate Zammad, but we have decided against it. You can still download Zammad for free though and integrate it with 3CX. Or use their hosted option but its a similar price to other systems.
Hi Nick,

Fully understand the decision to not bundle Zammad but will 3cx still create an official integration for Zammad soon?

Hi Nick, understand why you have built 3CX Startup and the market potential, however, can not see how this enhances the existing chat/voice application, which we use, and can no longer as it has updated. So how do we access the new app and manage it with V18?
Thanks.

@markf100 Yes, the improvements of the live chat app are coming to update 4 which we are working on as we speak. Also after that we will make a good update to the chat bubble and this will then be available in both dedicated and startUP modes. So we need a few weeks get to feature parity on both.
@SDLTom still on the roadmap but i have to admit its not as big a priority as it was before. its quite easy to do though...

Is there an ETA on when U4 will drop?

We need at least a few more weeks early June maybe but we can't commit to a date

Thanks @Nick Galea

Haven't read the hundreds of comments, but what's the upgrade path for those customers we put on a Startup instance?
What's the added value to switch to a dedicated one and will there be an easy way to migrate them?

Thanks

I agree with @ConceptsWeb, We need more flexibility to integrate Third Party Systems. I hope that it could be done with REST API, but I am little afraid also.

I think that CRM template generator is an excellent option, but it was not simple to learn and use it. I think there are a lot of things that we could do with it, but there is little documentation and examples. Perhaps a specific webinar about it can clarify a lot.

Despite of that, some cases I think that are not covered or are quite hard to do or maintain using CRM template Generator
At inbound:
-Open caller record based on customerID collected by CFD.
-In case of caller numer, it should be necessary to choose between several CRM records from 3CX before open lead/contact URL (more than one record can have same number)
-Select a group of user where URL should be opened
-Define differents URL per group. For exammple, open Zoho Desk for support Team and Zoho CRM for Sales Team
-Voice Recording attached to record

At outbound call:
-Register if call was busy or invalid number (this is important to depure DB)
-Register number as "Do not call" number (https://www.fcc.gov/general/do-not-call)
-Register call disposition (wish)

I think the price list is self explanatory - when to use dedicated and startup.
@jhonku - You will be able to upload your own javascript integrations. But i dont think we will be able to support that level of features, its really about triggering a call and then you have to do all that stuff yourself if you want to do it. So we can pass you number but then you have to that stuff in the CRM yourself. You can do that already today btw even at client level

Am I missing something here regarding SBCs - the "Full Feature List" on the main pricing lists "Inbuilt SBC to deploy offsite phones".

This infers we can ditch all our Pies?

@rfcomms no you still need them to connect IP phones.... Though we are working with vendors to integrate the tunnel on the phones!

Edit: But we are working on adding the interface to configure the SBC on startup, not ready yet but soon

To confirm, once update 4 comes out, we can then run multiple tenants on our own single server and having our licensing done accordingly? If so, will be able to enable sms on each tenant as needed on the single server? Also, any idea when update 4 will drop? If this works as it sounds, we should be able to start gaining customers again. The small users tend to go to a per seat company due the costs of licensing on the smaller instances no matter how minimal the costs.

Also, an integration with Netsuite would be great as we have several customers who'd love to have that feature and would pay for it.

Any idea when you will support MMS with bandwidth.com?

Netsuite as a complex API so I doubt they'll do it. We did one for a customer and it wasn't nice to work with, but it worked via proxy scripts.

I agree netsuite is a pain, however there is a market for it. What country are you in? We'd be interested in seeing your integration and possibly paying for it.

We're in Canada. We cannot demo the integration since it's owned by the customer, but we can certainly help.

@thephonedudes Hi Chris, we had used Elastix for 5 years before we met 3CX. 3CX is the easiest to configure, set up and manage. I don't know what problems you have now. You may post it on the forum to get the support from the community.
