Activation/Version Problem

I've just inherited a 3cx setup that hasn't been updated in some time. It's currently on 15.5.9348.3.

The license assigned to the server can no longer be activated due to the changes made in 15.5 SP6 as mentioned on this forum post here.

So, I have a server that can no longer update itself as it has no valid license, but also can't activate the license because it needs to be updated.

Is there a way I can get an upgrade package for 15.5 SP6 so that I can get the license activated, and then go through the correct processes to get myself to the latest release?

Hi Cobaltit,

I had a look at that when I looked through that forum post. Although it does give you the instructions, the actual download link isn't there. It only includes a download for the full version (now 16) on the page https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/webrtc-web-phone/

Heh.. yeah I dunno why someone linked that but there is another link which it appears you found. If you are just inheriting the system and aren't that familiar with 3CX it may be worth while to stop at v15.5 U6 which is currently supported and then upgrade to v16 another day.

Yep. Just want to get it properly activated and get all the phone firmware sorted out properly.

This should bring you up to SP6, and once done we can provide you with further assistance to upgrade to V16
