Hey,

I'm currently setting up a custom SIP trunk to connect to connect to a provider, but they require that I modify some of the fields, but i'm having a problem getting the user=phone command to add to the From field or "From : Host Part " field.

This is what the packet capture looks like now:
From: "1234567890"<sip:[email protected]>;tag=587a4026

This is what it is suppose to look like:
From: "1234567890"<sip:[email protected];user=phone>;tag=587a4026

Whenever I add customer.lab.trunkserver.ca;user=phone to the "From : Host Part: as a custom text, it ignores the user=phone.

Any help?

I'm still unable to get the "From" sip header modified to include semi-colon symbol. The From field is capable of holding all the characters, but once I add ";" it ignores everything after that semi-colon.

I did a test and replaced the semi-colon(;) with a period(.) and the packet capture showed the results below:
From: "1234567890"<sip:[email protected].user=phone>;tag=587a4026

However, I need ";user=phone" and not ".user=phone".

Is this semi-colon character not allow in the custom field? Is there another way for me to include it?

This is what my SIP trunk provider requires, so i'm trying to get it added.

Here's the 'use a supported SIP provider' comment :)

As far as your specific question I've never tried and I've never seen anyone state they've accomplished what you are trying to accomplish. If using a supported provider or even just another provider that doesn't require this isn't an option you might want to look at putting a SBC (not 3CX) in between.
